How Horrible!

The Simpsons (often shortened to Simpsons) is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The main characters are a satire of a working-class family, consisting of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The series lampoons many aspects of American culture, society, politics, and history. Ok, so much for the general premise. But weren't we talking about Halloween?

Indeed we were. The Simpsons Halloween Specials, also known as Tree House of Horrors, is a series of Halloween-themed episodes, each consisting of three separate, self-contained segments. These segments usually involve the family in some horror, science fiction, or supernatural setting and always take place outside the normal continuity of the show and are therefore considered to be non-canon.

The original "Treehouse of Horror" episode aired on October 25, 1990 and was inspired by EC Comics Horror tales. As of 2021, there are thirty-two Treehouse of Horror episodes, with one airing every year. So of course we had to take a closer look at the most common causes of death.
